I went into the city today to meet up for a friend's birthday party. We went shopping and had pizza. Simply brilliant. After lunch we went to a number of shops, New Look, Topshop and whatnot (you know, those shops were tall, thin people shop.) to try on shoes and buy something nice if we saw anything. Well, going into those shops puts a damper on my confidence.
Afterwards, we went to Starbucks to get some coffee. My friend who bought the coffee went to get someone, so I picked up her coffee for her. And as I did I said, 'Thanks a latte!' like the utter nerdy idiot that I am. The guy laughed and said, 'That's grande!' Or something along those lines. :)
It made me so happy that afterwards I had a little skip in my step. I am so pathetically easily pleased by little things. I told another friend of mine to say, 'Oh, sorry, I left my spare change in my other pair of mochachinos,' the next time he bought coffee or something from Starbucks. He just laughed and said, 'Scrubs, eh?'
If he won't, I will.
No, I mean it. I actually will.
