Anyone who actually reads my blog will probably be wondering how my grandpa is doing. He's fine. He got brought home, but everyone knows that it wasn't the last stroke. On to a happier subject. Christmas!
Christmas was great. I got two Alex Day CDs, 1 Chameleon Circuit CD and a Sons of Admirals T-shirt and money and some other stuff. Woo.
My birthday, Christmas Day, was epic too. I got canvases, oil paints, paint brushes and a canvas block. :o My sister did want to give me all 8 seasons of Scrubs for my birthday, but it hadn't been delivered yet. ):
We had cake, and homemade pizza. Pizza because I get to choose what we eat on my birthday. :) That was good. Veeery good.
My sister and I went into the city on the 27th, to do some shopping in the sales. I bought some hair dye (unfortunately the wrong colour, but I shall dye my hair and see how it looks), and most importantly of all; an owl hat. Oh my God, I love that owl hat. It's eyes are wonky but it is the epitomy of awesomeness.
You, as a reader, are not to know this unless you know me personally, but I love hats. I only have three, but I love hats. I love wacky animal hats, and I love most hats. People tell me hats suit me, but I only ever wear them in the Autumn or Winter which is a shame.
More good news, I started a drawing in my canvas block which I shall paint with my new paints and paintbrushes. I shall upload a picture of that when I'm done with it. Mind you, it may take a while. And I shall upload a new picture of me with my epic hat. (:
I love you guys! Have a happy new year!

Christmas
So, 1 day until X-Mas for me. It started out as a good day. Put up the Christmas tree, decorated the house. Watched some cool shows and went upstairs. In the afternoon, my mum comes upstairs to tell us that grandpa had a stroke.
A stroke. Enough said. She said that it wasn't that bad, but it won't be the last. He's in the hospital right now and she can't get the neighbours who are befriended with him on the phone. They're not answering. Mum also said that we should prepare ourselves to get a phonecall about grandpa any day now.
I mean, I know that grandpa hasn't been well, and that he is getting old. I knew that he would die, because of health conditions and whatnot. But I never thought that we'd get bad news on such a normal day. I never really thought about how it would be. And now I feel sort of empty. Will he make it? Won't he? I can't really think straight, because I don't want him to die and I just feel so empty.
What if grandpa does die on Christmas? Or on my birthday? What will I do then? What will we do? So many questions, and I hate not knowing. But there is always the main question of how my mum feels right now. And nan. And my uncle. God, please don't let my grandpa die at Christmas. Please.

What? Arse-Monkey Castle?
That's right. You read that right. I was in Germany on an exchange, and it was great, and tiring, and great, and freezing. Oh, and did I mention that it was great? :)
Anyhoo, I'm back now, and I'm posting on a Sunday (yet again) and I will tell you all about the exchange. Those who are reading this and went on the exchange with me will know what I'm babbling about. If the title confuses you, keep on reading.
Saturday- Absolutely knackering. We had to be at the bus stop in school for 4:30. Then we drove for four hours to Dover. We took a ferry to Calais and drove through France, Belgium and half of Germany. We arrived some time in the evening, and for dinner we had Italian takeaway which was superbly yummy.
Sunday- Woke up at 9 in the morning, got washed and dressed and had some breakfast. My exchange person's sister had an exchange partner too, (a girl called Heli for short was my exchange partner) so Heli's sister, brother, Amy (the sister's exchange partner) and me took the dogs out for a walk.
Meanwhile, Heli was helping out at a smaller Christmas Market so we went there for lunch and looked around and had food. Good food.
Then we visited Heli's grandparents and went out for dinner. Italian, incidentally. :P
Monday- I went to Heli's first lesson with her, which was music. They were learning about Pink. It was really interesting. Then for the next lesson, the non-Germans went on a tour of the school. The lady recommended that we didn't use the school loos, saying that they were a bit... well. Nasty. It was break after that, and we had an assembly which told us about the different workshops and the teachers taking part. I picked drama, and everyone dispersed to the workshops.
We spent the first day playing icebreaker games, like Budge and Murder in the Dark. It was very funny. This year there were 28 people in the drama workshop, more than ever. And Dance which was one of the most popular usually only had 7 people. xD
Tuesday- More workshops, and we found out that we were doing a modernized version of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It was to be presented as a TV show. I got the part of one of the four TV hosts. We started to work out the scenes, and rehearsed and rehearsed.
Wednesday- Oh, that was a gooood day. We spent the morning rehearsing, and after lunch we went swimming. For those who don't know, in Germany the swimming pools have epic slides and all sorts of cool things. The one we went to had 3 slides, 2 outdoor pools, a sauna, a jacuzzi and a lazy river. Really awesome. Don't worry, the outdoor pools were heated, but it was really weird because it was snowy outside, and your were warm and cold. Some people ran from one outdoor pool to the other in their swimsuits. There were snowball fights too. The slides are just epic, one was completely dark and there were lights. One the other you had to sit on a rubber ring, and you'd go super fast. :D
On the way home, one of the teachers made an announcement (with the aid of a microphone) about the trip on Friday. We weren't going to Frankfurt, because of the terrorism warnings. We were going to Aschaffenburg. But sir didn't know the name of the place, and asked the German teacher what it was called, and she said it slowly and he said;
"So, we're going to... where? Arse-monkey Castle? What?" The bus' passengers were in stitches. (Arse in German is Arsch, and monkey is affen. Castle is burg, and that's why. :p )
Thursday- The day of the performance. We did a dress rehearsal and went home at lunch. Heli and I visited a friend of hers who had two exchange partners. An English girl and a French boy. We walked there, which was alright at first, but her dog had run away so we spent an hour and a half looking for it. But someone found the dog in the end, and we had pasta for lunch and spent a while there talking and having fun.
Friday- We went to Arse-Monkey Castle to go ice skating. I tried it, and hated it, despite my friends trying to encourage me.
Then we went to the awesome massive Christmas Market, and went shopping. I loved it so much. It was really cold, and it was really beautiful.
Afterwards, I went bowling with Heli and some other people. It was awesome.
Saturday- We had to be at the bus stop at 6:30, and there were lots of hugs and goodbyes. And we took the exhausting journey home, but we arrived two hours earlier than we should have done which was nice. And now I'm back home. I do miss the exchangers a bit. But it was so much fun. I recommend exchanges to anyone. They are awesome.
It's nice to be back home!

Avoiding the procrastina-train
You may not have noticed this yet, but I like to use lyrics or puns as my titles. And yes, the blog post is about my blogging laziness as of late (no posts in more than a week. Not a good starting point. :c ). I should've made a post ages ago, but I just haven't had something to talk about.
I need to warn you all that more inactivity is a-coming your way. I will be in Germany on an Exchange for a week, and may not do a post 'til Monday or Tuesday-ish. I hope you don't hate me for this awfully short and stupid post, but I'll see you around!
Have a nice week without me!

Emotions and honesty
You know that emotions have all sorts of stimuli? Smells, tastes, sounds, etc. Well, all of these trigger emotions that are somehow linked to it. For example, when I smell cinnamon, I am immediately reminded of Winter. When I smell candy floss, I think of a friend of mine who always smells like candy floss. That's not a bad thing, mind, just something I've noticed.
I'm talking about emotions today, because someone dear to me has been having a bad day, so I told them to listen to sad music and cry. It always helps to just let it go, and cry until you're papery white and dried out.
Songs that always set me off are;
3 days, followers! 3 days!
Have a nice week!

Harry Potter and looking good
Anyone who read my About Me knew that this was coming. I mean, what can you expect of a girl who is going to dress up as Hedwig for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1?
Yes, I am an utter nerd who cares about the way they look. Yes, I will look silly in my over-sized hoodie, yellow beak and handmade bag with letters inside. And no, I am not completely insane. Maybe only a tiny bit. (:
I will look cute. I hope so, anyway. If I make a fool of myself, I'm cool with that. It's not that I don't like looking good, I just like to be able to make a fool of myself once in a while. It's healthy.
Today, I felt like having a go at all the girls who think that looks are much more important than being able to write their own names. Sure, you may be superbly 'cool' and 'popular', but my dear, shallow friends, you are indeed quite stupid. For exampe;
Who on earth would wear shorts without tights when you can see your breath outside? Who would act all girly and simpering around boys? Really?
Okay, maybe this is why I'm not going out with someone, but why should I be fake around guys to get them to like me? Is there something great about a relationship that is based on lies? Am I not getting something, here? Maybe it is a mistake telling people my opinion but, at least I don't change to get a boyfriend.
It's ridiculous. Good god.
I promise I won't rant next time, at least I mentioned Harry Potter, right?
Have a nice Sunday evening! x

Ch-ch-changes
I've noticed recently that a lot of my friends are experiencing change, or thinking about change. Not in a bad way, of course, but it made me think of those who really can't bear change. I know someone like that. She always denies change, and does not wish to change. She also believes that change is a bad thing, and I'm trying to convince her that it isn't.
For example, a few things have changed for me recently, with a positive outcome:
Anyhoo, I recommend that you try the Peppermint Mocha. It tastes like liquid After Eight, (only not Nestle.) and warms you right up.
Sorry I haven't posted in a while.
Have a nice Saturday!

Homework
I know you may hate me for bringing up this topic, and you'll probably think that I'm nerdy because I think this, but, I believe that homework is actually quite good. But if the teacher doesn't explain it properly, it sucks.
Despite me being buried in it most days, I think it helps get the stuff into your head when you don't get it. I've been doing maths homework recently, (joy of joys) but sometimes I have realised that they set this homework without any explanation. It's just 'Do it or get in trouble,' and that really sucks.
You see, at the moment, I am really stuck on my history homework, but my teacher told me that I just have to research Trench Warfare. This is not what it says on the front sheet though. Ugh, sorry to rant so soon into my blog, but it's so irritating.
Hope you had a nice Sunday!

Coffee Puns
I went into the city today to meet up for a friend's birthday party. We went shopping and had pizza. Simply brilliant. After lunch we went to a number of shops, New Look, Topshop and whatnot (you know, those shops were tall, thin people shop.) to try on shoes and buy something nice if we saw anything. Well, going into those shops puts a damper on my confidence.
Afterwards, we went to Starbucks to get some coffee. My friend who bought the coffee went to get someone, so I picked up her coffee for her. And as I did I said, 'Thanks a latte!' like the utter nerdy idiot that I am. The guy laughed and said, 'That's grande!' Or something along those lines. :)
It made me so happy that afterwards I had a little skip in my step. I am so pathetically easily pleased by little things. I told another friend of mine to say, 'Oh, sorry, I left my spare change in my other pair of mochachinos,' the next time he bought coffee or something from Starbucks. He just laughed and said, 'Scrubs, eh?'
If he won't, I will.
No, I mean it. I actually will.
